Frozen Blooming Leprechaun

(family style and party style)

(recipe makes 4 cups)

Ingredients:

1 Flowering Tea Bloom- Green Tea flavor

2 cups of milk (use your favorite- almond milk, coconut milk, whole milk)

1 cup of sugar

about 40 ice cubes for blender

whipped topping (cool whip)

green food coloring and sprinkles are optional for topping

Directions:

Bring 4 cups of water to simmer ( about 180°) and then remove from heat. Add the blooming tea bloom to the water and let simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. This is best enjoyed if you have the water in a crystal clear teapot or pitcher so you can see the tea flower unfurl.

After steeping, remove the tea bloom and set aside. Allow the water to cool.

Pour cooled tea into a blender and add milk, sugar, and about 16 drops of green food coloring. Add ice cubes and blend well.

Pour your frozen green tea into a glass and top with whipped topping and sprinkles.

(party-style) Adult Beverage alternative: Add a shot of Ke-Ke© key lime liqueur into your cup before adding whipped topping to make a spinning leprechaun from your blooming tea.

Blooming Lemonade Tea

(Family -style and Party style)

Ingredients:

1 blooming tea ball- any flavor will work. (But I'd recommend the Jasmine or pomegranate infused flowering tea blooms  as they make a delicious flavor combination with the lemon).

3 cups of water

1 can (12 oz) frozen lemonade concentrate

8 thin slices from a cut lemon

8 cups of ice cubes

2 cups of cold water

Directions:

1. Heat 3 cups of water to 180°. Place your tea bloom into clear glass tea pot or pitcher. Pour hot water into pot over the flowering tea bloom. Watch it unfurl. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes then remove the bloom.

2. Add lemonade concentrate and the 2 cups of cold water. Stir together.

3. Pour into cups filled with ice and add lemon slices for garnish.

Enjoy.

Party Time -Adult Beverage alternative: Add an ounce of your favorite tea-flavored vodka and stir . (Seagram's Sweet tea, Jeremiah Weed and Firefly all have sweet tea vodkas which can be found in liquor stores.)
